Cookie Policy

Information about cookies and similar technologies associated with CouponDock.

Necessary technology

This Cookie Policy explains how CouponDock may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies. These technologies allow a website or service provider to store or read a small amount of information on a browser or device.

The current website is designed to work without a visitor account. It may use essential browser or hosting technology required to deliver pages, protect the service, diagnose technical problems, and maintain basic interface state.

For example, when you select the light or dark theme, the preference is stored in your browser’s local storage under a theme setting. This lets the site apply the same theme on a later page or visit. The setting stays on the device until you change it or clear the site’s stored data.

Hosting and security providers may also use short-lived technical mechanisms that are necessary to route requests, prevent abuse, or keep the service available. Necessary technologies are used because the website cannot operate reliably or remember a requested interface preference without them.

Performance technology

The current implementation does not intentionally add a general advertising tracker or optional analytics package to the browser. Standard server and hosting logs may still contain technical request information as described in the Privacy Policy.

If optional analytics, audience measurement, advertising, personalization, or additional performance technologies are introduced, this policy must be updated before they are enabled. Where applicable law requires consent, the website should provide an appropriate consent choice rather than treating silence or continued browsing as consent.

Affiliate attribution

When you choose a coupon or retailer link, CouponDock uses a controlled server redirect to obtain the approved destination and record an outbound click. The redirect itself does not require us to place a retailer’s affiliate cookie directly in your browser.

After you arrive on a retailer or affiliate-network website, that third party may set cookies, pixels, or similar identifiers to:

  • remember that the visit originated from an affiliate link;
  • attribute a qualifying purchase or other action;
  • prevent fraud and duplicate attribution;
  • operate checkout, account, or basket functionality;
  • measure or personalize its own website.

Those third parties determine the purpose, duration, and scope of their own technologies. Their cookies are governed by their privacy and cookie notices, not this policy. Some attribution cookies may remain after you leave the retailer, subject to the third party’s stated retention period and your browser settings.

Using an outbound affiliate link is optional. You can navigate to a retailer independently, although doing so may mean the visit is not attributed to CouponDock.

Managing cookies

Most browsers let you inspect, delete, or block cookies and site data. You can also:

  • clear the saved theme preference by removing local storage for this site;
  • use private-browsing controls where supported;
  • block third-party cookies;
  • configure tracking-protection or global privacy features;
  • manage permissions separately on a retailer’s website.

Blocking necessary technology may affect site security or interface preferences. Blocking retailer or affiliate technology may affect checkout, account features, saved baskets, or commission attribution, but should not prevent you from reading publicly available pages on CouponDock.

Browser controls vary by product and version. Refer to your browser provider’s current help documentation for exact instructions.

Do Not Track and privacy signals

Browsers may send “Do Not Track” or other privacy preference signals. Because industry responses to some signals differ, the website’s behavior may depend on the technology in use and applicable law. Any future advertising or analytics implementation should be reviewed for legally required handling of recognized preference signals.

Policy updates

We may update this policy when browser storage, analytics, advertising, consent management, affiliate providers, or other site technology changes. Material updates should revise the date shown at the top of the page.
